The P-525 is the flagship in the P-series. This instrument faithfully represents the quality of Yamaha's acoustic grand craftsmanship and modern technology. The P-525 features GrandTouch-S with wooden keys, synthetic ebony and ivory key tops, and escapement, and the CFX and Bösendorfer grand piano voices. Available in black or white finishes.

The Smart Pianist app for iOS and Android opens a world of intuitive touch screen control while Rec 'n' Share allows you to record your practice and performance and easily share it with all your social platforms. The Smart Pianist app for iOS and Android devices makes selecting Voices and changing settings more intuitive. Rec ‘n’ Share helps to take your musical journey to all your social media platforms. Registration Memory adds live performance functionality to an already feature packed instrument.

  • GrandTouch-S keyboard action faithfully replicates the detailed tonal variations produced in an acoustic grand depending on the player’s touch and expression. The exceptionally durable solid wood keys (white only) transfer vibrations from the instrument creating an important connection to the player.
  • Updated CFX and Bösendorfer Samples provide greater expressive control so you can enjoy concert level power, brilliance, brightness, and improved touch response.
  • Binaural Sampling technology delivers a three-dimensional sound in your headphones, creating the sensation of sitting in front of a world class concert grand piano, playing without headphones on.
  • Grand Expression Modeling technology closely replicates the mechanics of hammers, strings, and internal components, giving you ultimate control over your playing.
  • Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) recreates the resonance of the piano strings and body in real time as they would respond to the limitless factors present when playing an acoustic piano.
  • Half-damper pedal control allows for continuously increasing amounts of sustain as the pedal is depressed.
    Sound Boost adds some EQ and volume to help the instrument project and cut through the mix using its internal speakers, allowing you to be heard in small ensemble situations such as an acoustic jazz trio.
  • Registration Memories allow you to save and recall panel settings to quickly access your favorite configurations.
  • With the Smart Pianist app, you can take your piano playing to the next level. This app allows you to control all functions and access additional features that go beyond what the instrument can do on its own.
  • Rec 'n' Share app allows you to record stereo audio and video of your playing which you can instantly share on any platform.

Returns

Our policy lasts 14 days. After 14 days of the date of your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Non-returnable items:

  • Books, Cd's and magazines are non-returnable.
  • Downloadable software products
  • Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after purchase date.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so choose carefully.

If your refund is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at accounts@shearersmusic.co.nz.

Sale items 

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges 

If the goods are faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumers Guarantee Act to provide a solution.

We only replace items if they are damaged or unfixable. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at accounts@shearersmusic.co.nz and send your item to:

Shearers Music Works cannot accept cancellation for product that has to be imported specially at the customer’s request. A deposit may be required at the time of order, and these products can only be returned if the product is faulty or does not conform to the product specifications.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a track and trace service so that you can track your returned item to us.
